Our Family is Growing!

"God places the lonely in families..." Psalm 68:6

As a couple, we've always wanted children. Even while we were still dating, we discussed our mutual desire to adopt in the future, although we assumed it would happen after we'd had a few biological children. As of right now, that doesn't seem to be the case. After a heartbreaking few years filled with doctor visits, diagnostic tests, and even a surgery, we have no conclusive answers about why we've been unable to conceive. If nothing else, what we've gained is the realization that becoming parents is more important to us than becoming pregnant. We hope that our friends and family will share in our excitement at the prospect of adding to our family in this way.

There are many different routes to adoption, and we've prayerfully considered all of them. After much deliberation, we've decided to work with Christian Adoption Consultants to pursue a domestic infant adoption. We selected this option for a number of reasons, but most of all because we have a desire to care for the children of parents with unplanned pregnancies who have courageously chosen life for their babies.

At this point, we are financially preparing for the overwhelming costs associated with domestic adoption, which are usually around $25,000-$40,000. We are working hard to streamline our budget, but we know that fundraising will need to play a large role in bringing home our baby. Please contact us if you have any questions, if you would like to contribute, or even if you would just like to chat. We'd absolutely love to hear from you!
Thank you for taking the time to let us share our adventure with you!

Sincerely,

Jason & Lynsey

  4. Jason and Linsey, I'm so very excited for you guys. My husband and I also struggled to have a baby. I was quickly approaching 40. Thanks to the wonderful folks at OHSU, we were able to conceive. The first try did not work and I cannot tell you the emotions we went through and how hard it was on us, we were devastated. We were about to head down the road to adoption as well but it was so expensive! Praise God the second time worked, we were pregnant! Connor is the greatest gift that God could have ever given us and we are so greatful to him. What a fantastic idea this fundraiser is, Jeff and I will gladly buy a piece of your puzzle this Friday. I can't wait until you get your call! Be warned, this process can happen very fast so get that nursery ready! Congratulations! Rhonda Freeman
